An Update on Chalice in the Hospital
13 01 2007On Tuesday Chalice went to see the doctor for a cold that was gradually getting worse. Our doctor said she had bronchiolitis and that there was not much than can be done. He said if her breathing got worse, we should take her to the emergency room. The following day her breathing gradually got worse.
We took her to the ER room that evening, and she began receiving the proper care. Her oxygen level was about 82, and it should have been about 96 and above. We are so glad we took her in! The staff at Children’s hospital have been wonderful and caring.
We are so grateful to report that Chalice is improving. As of Friday night, the nurse took Chalice off her IV, and Joli has been able to resume feeding Chalice! She has given us both lots of smiles, so we know she is on the mend. Thank you to all of our friends and family for praying for our little daughter. God is always Good! We praise Him for the strength to endure this hardship, and we trust that Chalice will be home soon!
Lord willing, we will find out if she can come home with us today. We will keep you all posted!
P.S. Chalice’s room and number changed on Friday: 858-966-6412 / #312
